The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulations Division of Workforce Development administers the Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER) and Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) to provide services to veterans and eligible persons in the One-Stop Job Market. Veterans are given priority when referred to job orders listed in the Maryland Workforce Exchange. In addition to helping veterans find employment and training opportunities, DVOP and LVER staff provide vocational guidance, referral to supportive services and case management services to veterans with significant barriers to employment.
Veterans' Priority of Service Priority of services will be provided in the Job Market to veterans and other eligible persons by the Veterans' Employment Service. Under Title 38 and Public Law 107-288 veterans are prioritized in the following order to receive services in the Job Market:

USDOL announces "Key to Career Success" U.S. Department of Labor, in collaboration with the Department of Defense, is launching a nationwide campaign entitled, "Key to Career Success" on Veterans Day 2005. This campaign will heighten veterans' awareness of the many services available in the One-Stop Career Centers and help ensure priority of service to veterans in One-Stop Career Centers. Attached is a fact sheet on the Key to Career Success campaign for use by One-Stop Career Center staff, including veterans' representatives.
